EVENT> BioShock 2 Chicago for the WIN!

After a late arrival due in part to the CTA, myself and an associate arrived at Navy Pier for the BioShock 2 promotional event!
I quickly changed into my custom latex Baby Jane splicer costume & headed over to the center stage. They were out of promo shirts, but I was assured that they would send one via mail shortly. I was able to get a few photos with the rest of the Rapturians, then we headed out to hop in the shuttle to the cocktail hour. 2K picked up the tab, providing appetizers & drinks. The restaurant even tailored 2 drinks to the BioShock theme! Most of the munchies had meat ingredients, so I stuck to fries & Revitalizes.
Us Rapturians chatted for a while about our costumes & game things, then there was a costume contest! There were 3 ladies & a gaggle of gents, with one winner selected from each group. Right before leaving, Promo Mike surprised the runner-up ladies with extra masks! I am soooo grateful & will be doing a photoshoot with it soon!!
Thanks again to 2K & Redbull for sponsoring this spectacular event, and Mike & Elizabeth in particular for putting in so much effort & care! I’ll be looking forward to the next Chicago BioShock event.

Such a neat Baby Jane costume! I am glad that you and Lacey got masks as well, wish that he had handed them out earlier so that we could have posed for a photo together, we will have to do that at the next BioShock Chicago event!

Hey, like I told ya at the event, great friggin costume. It was a blast, except one little kid was annoying the hell outta me. Pretty rad that Mike gave ya’ll masks though. I think I’ve spent more time on the message boards than I have actually working this week. And that includes running an ER.
Anyway, great website now that I can see it rather than look at it on my iphone. Crazy stuff.

Hey, thanks a lot for checking out the site! I’m really happy with how my costume turned out overall, & am thinking about doing a couple more splicer interpretations down the road…
I’m a pretty big sci-fi & gaming fan, & have been getting out to a lot more cons this year. 2010 promises to see me at even MORE events! So far AnimeCentral & WindyCon are on my calendar. I had been considering CapriCon, but I’ll be out of town that weekend for the MadTown KinkFest convention.
Hopefully I’ll be seeing my fellow Rapturians at some of these Chicagoland events!

Ok yeah, Miami didn’t happen. Friggin girlfriend tore her knee and I’m still stuck in Milwaukee doing rehab with her.
