James Speyer and David Haid, both notable architects of the 20th Century. Cantilevered over a ravine, this woodsy retreat is outfitted with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths with the second building acting as the houses garage/museum. Who wants to go to this open house? (only pre-approved buyers, please)

First, they look for clean and prevailing lines and shapes, which are then coupled with classic colors. Second, they examine and review the product to improve production and material quality, all the while keeping the price at a highly competitive selling point. They understand that the best selling products will always be those that inspire a sense of value and worth, along with the significance of aesthetics. In other words, a successful product for Zuo Modern must pass the “wow, this feels solid” test, the “that looks so cool” test, and the “that is a great price” test.
This is what a New York loft should be, minus the central Manhattan locale. An architectural gem, to say the least, reading the Wall Street Journal with a cup of Joe on the terrace will never be the same. The reclaimed clocks as windows (sans hands) are beautiful foil for the outstanding view and overall spaciousness. Natural light galore and the 360° view makes this 6,300 square-foot condo a one-of-a kind. On sale for $25 million, which if sold, the New York Times says will handily best the $11 million purchase of a Gravesend home in 2006, making the penthouse the most expensive real estate buy in Brooklyn.
I am a firm believer in saving where it counts and splurging on the necessities Items that outlast the test of time are well worth it… Louis Vuitton, Karen Walker glasses, Ferragamo shoes… When it comes to furniture though, you could find a mirror at Ikea for 85 bucks but will it have as much character as the one pictured above? Probably not… Nadeau in the Ravenswood art district of Chicago is doing the most with their antique-like finds without the hefty price tags. This isn’t your World Market brand of homogeny, it is unique and hard-to-find pieces made by artisans from India, Sri Lanka, etc. The warehouse is fully stocked in over 5,000 sq. feet of furniture nirvana and the prices are very reasonable so don’t try to negotiate, the owner will not have it. www.furniturewithasoul.com

The New Zealand born fashion designer has a reputation for her original, effortless and unpretentious style. The recurring theme of Karen´s work is taking extremes and pushing them together – masculine and feminine, tailored and street, luxury and non-luxury, dark and super-cute. Known for her quirky ads (current ones feature model vampires donning the sexy sunglasses) whimsical ‘arrow’ logo and her hip, retro styles these glasses will satisfy any big-glasses loving, night-time sunglass-wearing addicts anywhere.. including vampires.
